2017 TRADEMARK FEE CHANGES

Effective January 14th, 2017, the USPTO will be implementing fee changes to their paper and electronic filing systems. The full list of changes can be found by clicking HERE. Additionally, below we have highlighted the changes that most effect those who file electronically.

  • TEAS Regular application filing fee is raised by $75, from $325 to $400 per class
  • Filing a Declaration of Use Affidavit under §8 is raised by $25, from $100 to $125 per class
  • Filing a Request for a six-month Extension of Time to File a Statement of Use under §1(d)(1) is reduced by $25, from $150 to $125
  • Filing a Notice of Opposition through the Electronic System for Trademark Trial and Appeals (ESTTA) is raised by $100, from $300 to $400

Please be aware of these changes as we move forward into the New Year.
